INVITATION LETTER
The conference secretariat will provide a letter of invitation upon request. This letter is to facilitate participant travel and visa arrangement only. Please direct your request via e-mail to visa-icoms@iaoms.org.
VISA
It is possible to enter Brazil and remain for a specific period of time without a visa as long as the visitor has a valid passport. Below is a list of countries whose nationals require a valid passport (but not a tourist). Please note that exemptions are valid for stays up to 90 days.
If your country is not on this list, please check with your local Brazilian Consulate to determine what official papers will be required for you to visit Brazil. Please allow sufficient time for this process.
If you have any doubts about obtaining a visa to enter in Brazil, contact the local or nearest Brazilian consulate. The information written here is subject to change, serving only as a preliminary general orientation to the foreign traveler. When planning a tour or business trip, it is advisable to consult the Brazilian diplomatic offices in your country. It is worth remembering that all countries in the world request visas for those who are going there to work.
eVisa
The eVisa is available for nationals of Australia, Canada, United States and Japan. Nationals of these countries may apply for a Visit Visa and obtain it remotely, with no need to visit a Consulate, since there is no physical label. The holder of the electronic visit visa may present the printed authorization file or its electronic copy to the transport companies at the time of boarding, as well as to the Brazilian immigration authorities upon their entry into Brazil.
