What is an SGAC?

All travellers are required to submit the SG Arrival Card before arriving in Singapore, except:

  • Those transiting/transferring through Singapore without seeking immigration clearance; and

  • Residents (Singapore citizens, Permanent Residents, Long-Term Pass holders*) travelling through Woodlands and Tuas Checkpoints.

*Long-Term Pass holders include holders of Student’s Pass, Dependant’s Pass, Long-Term Visit Pass and Work Pass.

The SG Arrival Card is not a visa. For more information on general entry requirements, please visit the Entering Singapore page. It contains information such as Visa requirements.

When do I need to submit my SGAC?

You are required to submit the SGAC within three (3) days (including the day of arrival) before arrival in Singapore.* This is to avoid unnecessary delays during immigration clearance upon your arrival.

*For example, if you are arriving in Singapore on 30 Jun 2024, you can submit your declaration from 28 Jun 2024 onwards.

Do I need a visa to enter Singapore?

Most visitors to Singapore do not require a visa for entry.

For a list of countries that require a valid Visa for entry into Singapore, you can check the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA)’s website, or enquire at the Singapore Overseas Mission closest to you.

What is the processing time for a Visa?

A visa application will be processed between 3 to 5 working days. Some applications may take longer to process. Each visa application will be considered on its own merits.

If approved, an electronic copy of your visa (e-visa) which will indicate the number of entries allowed and the visa validity period will be sent to you via email.

How much does a Visa cost?

The processing fee is USD $22.00. The fee collected is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of application or if you withdraw the application after submission.
